The Jumpshot Roadshow Rolls Through New York — Our “Data & Drinks” Featured Great Panelists from Pinterest & IPG
The Jumpshot World Tour rolled through New York City last week. I figure if we can make it there, we can make it anywhere 🙂
The highlight for me was Jumpshot’s Data & Drinks event. We had a great venue (the Cachet Boutique NYC), previewed our upcoming State of eCommerce report, and moderated a really interesting panel discussion with two of our industry’s most impressive influencers.
Ross Jenkins, SVP of Global Data Strategy for IPG Mediabrands, joined us just hours after being named a “Data Rock Star” by the Interactive Advertising Bureau. He lived up to his headlining status and shared how he turns insights into action for the world’s leading brands.
Michael Akkerman, Global Head of Pinterest Partners Program, shared powerful data about how to shape the digital path-to-purchase at the very top of the funnel. While purchasing is dominated by Amazon, and search by Google, the top of the funnel has many (online and offline) players. Pinterest excels here, with commerce and discovery built into the platform’s DNA, and it shows in consumer behavior — 89% use Pinterest for inspiration in their path to purchase, and 77% have discovered a new brand or product on the platform.
